Gaming-style boy’s room – desk, wallpaper, and accessories
A school-age child’s room is a space that needs to combine many functions – a place for learning, rest, play, and developing passions. In this project, we focused on creating an interior that meets the needs of 10-year-old Damian, while remaining aesthetic, well-organized, and flexible for the years to come.
The presented interior arrangement of a boy’s room with an area of 10 sqm is an example of a modern interior design, where ready-made furniture has been complemented with gaming accessories, a functional desk, and a distinctive wallpaper. The result is a cohesive, well-thought-out space – expressive, yet not overwhelming.

Room analysis
The designed room has an area of 10m2 and a rectangular layout, with a window that provides good natural light for the desk area. The main challenge was to make the most of the available space without visually overloading it.
The user’s needs were clearly defined: a comfortable place for learning and gaming, a bed ensuring good sleep quality, sufficient storage space, and a clear but subtle reference to the world of gaming.
The goal of the project was to create a functional and aesthetic interior that will “grow” with the child and remain relevant for several years.
Concept and key interior elements
The foundation of the arrangement is a neutral, modern base – light wood, graphite, black, and muted shades of gray. Against this backdrop, gaming accents appear, adding character to the interior without dominating the space.

Furniture and storage
We used ready-made furniture, proving that an attractive interior design does not always require custom-built solutions. A wardrobe in a wood finish provides ample storage, while an open bookshelf for books and decorations adds lightness and rhythm to the space.

Gaming desk
The central point of the study and entertainment zone is the gaming desk, positioned by the window. It ensures ergonomics, access to natural light, and comfort for both studying and gaming.

Wallpaper and accessories
A bold gaming-themed wallpaper serves as a strong visual accent, giving the interior its individual character. It is complemented by accessories – a rug, lighting, and details – that tie the entire composition together.

Functional zones
The room has been clearly divided into several zones, making even a small interior readable and comfortable for everyday use.
- Sleeping zone – with a comfortable bed and soft textiles, promoting relaxation
- Study and gaming zone – an ergonomic desk, chair, and appropriate lighting
- Storage zone – wardrobes and shelves that help keep the space organized
- Circulation zone – clear pathways ensuring freedom of movement

Material details
We chose materials that are durable, easy to maintain, and aesthetically timeless. Wood finishes add warmth, matte blacks and graphite tones give a modern feel, and textiles bring coziness. The entire design was created with intensive, everyday use by a child in mind.

Interior color palette
The color scheme is based on neutral base colors such as wood, gray, and black. Gaming accents appear selectively – in the wallpaper, rug, and details – ensuring the interior remains balanced while maintaining its thematic character.

Design team commentary
When designing this room, we aimed to find a balance between the child’s world and an aesthetic that would remain актуal for years. Instead of literal motifs, we focused on details and atmosphere – so the interior would be both functional and inspiring.
This project shows that children’s interior design can be modern, organized, and full of character – even with a small floor area.
