In designing small bathrooms – especially those with a surface of 6m2 – the key is to combine functionality, aesthetics and well-thought-out details. In this project, we designed a modern bathroom with a back-to-wall freestanding bathtub, a walk-in shower, wooden built-in elements and elegant black accents, maintaining visual lightness and maximum user comfort. This design shows that even a compact space can feel open, harmonious and extremely pleasant to use. ## How to design a functional 6m2 bathroom?

Every centimetre matters in a small bathroom, which is why we started with an analysis of ergonomics and zoning. The goal was to create a comfortable interior with two bathing zones – a shower and a bathtub – while keeping practical built-in storage hidden.

We used light tiles in shades of white and beige that reflect light and visually enlarge the room. The contrasting black fittings and the black frame of the shower enclosure emphasise the modern character of the bathroom, while the wooden accents add warmth to the space.

## Washbasin area – light cabinetry and perfect lighting

The key feature here is the wall-mounted vanity with a wooden countertop, which visually lightens the space. Above it, we placed a mirror with vertical LED strips that perfectly illuminate the skincare zone.

## Walk-in shower – elegance and functionality

We used a glass shower enclosure with a black frame, a minimalist form and a built-in illuminated niche for cosmetics. The wood-effect tile on the shower wall adds warmth and creates a striking contrast.

## Back-to-wall freestanding bathtub – comfort in a small bathroom

The back-to-wall freestanding bathtub is an ideal solution for compact bathrooms – it looks light while saving space. Behind the bathtub, we designed a wooden shelf with LED lighting, creating a relaxing home-spa atmosphere.

## Materials, colours and lighting

We combined white, beige, wood and black accents. LED lighting adds elegance and creates a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.
